Our activities

In order to attain our goals we execute a range of activities:

• Organizing contests, educative seminars for the society, conferences
• Providing social support and counseling (social, legal, psychological, parenting)
• Conducting lobbying activities at national and municipal levels in order to encourage women-friendly laws and resolutions
• Leading groups of communication and skill development for teenage girls from problematic families. In these groups girls are able to learn the skills that cannot be obtained in families they come from. This project is supported by Kaunas Municipal Department of Education and Youth Affairs Council. The work of these groups is based on girls groups’ methodology of Mia Hanström (Aland Islands Peace Institute). On the basis of this methodology we established the Girls’ Day Center of Kaunas. In the center girls from social risk families learn gender equality and democracy, while their mothers and other women receive various social services.
